About Isringhausen Imports
In the fall of 1981, Rob Isringhausen founded Isringhausen Imports as a pre-owned car dealership specializing in high-end automobiles. The creation of the dealership was a direct result of Rob being a true car enthusiast whose passion pushed him into the business. Rob was joined in January of 1984 by his brother Geoff who then became the fourth employee of Isringhausen Imports. In 1985, Isringhausen obtained the SAAB franchise, followed by BMW and Porsche in 1989. In 1990, Isringhausen expanded to Decatur, Illinois by acquiring the Mercedes and Audi dealership in that market. Geoff ran the Decatur operation until 1997 when the two locations were consolidated. At this time, Rob and Geoff committed to their core franchise group of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, which is still in place today.
The Isringhausen Philosophy
We believe that every person who walks through our doors deserves attention, honesty, and respect including our employees. By working together in this way, we become more than a team; we become a family. Our belief is that if our employees function as a family, that family will extend its reach to our customers.
The tenure of our 65 full-time employees averages 8 years. The difference at Isringhausen is that we demonstrate our consideration for our employees and our customers every day-- for without quality employees and satisfied customers, we cease to exist. Every day we work towards the greater good for our customers, our fellow employees and our community. Every Isringhausen employee attempts to follow the example of leadership, friendship, and integrity with which Rob Isringhausen led us for over 25 years.
Community Involvement- Isringhausen Cares
Supporting our community is important to us. We believe that since we have been successful as a company that we have a commitment to give back to the community in which we have achieved that success. Each year, we partner with 50 to 60 organizations that enhance our community.
We sponsor many local charities throughout each year. Many of our donations are made to faith-based organizations, because we believe that in order to experience individual success, people need help spiritually as well as physically.
Our owners and employees are passionate about Porsche. So much so that we created an Isringhausen Racing team deemed "Isringhausen Motorsports". The motorsports team competes all over the country in a Porsche Cayman specific racing series called the Intercontinental Trophy Cup Series or ITC. Our Owner Geoff Isringhausen Sr., his son Geoff Jr. and other members of the dealership compete in these races. Last season, the Isringhausen Motorsports Team won both the Team Championship and an Individual Driver Championship. We are proud of this division of Isringhausen Imports as it begins to demonstrate our passion for the cars that we sell.
